Canadian Federal Government, Canada

The Canadian government’s commitment to the SDGs began with the establishment of an SDG Unit in 2017 to ensure effective coordination across numerous federal departments and agencies and to track Canada’s SDG progress.

Basque Government, Spain

The Basque Government is the governing body of the Basque Autonomous Community of Spain. Among its many functions, it formulates proposals for social innovation in terms of social transition and the 2030 Agenda. With its Basque Programme of Priorities, it promotes coordination and follow-up strategies between the Departments and Institutions oriented towards a joint action of the Government in matters of social transition and the 2030 Agenda and monitors the actions of the strategy.

Instituto Humanitas 360, PDR Fundo Filantrópico, Brazil

PDR Fundo Filantrópico promotes public interest causes for the benefit of society through the management of endowments and allocation of resources to supported institutions. It makes early stage investments in social businesses with great potential for positive impact on society.

Instituto Humanitas 360 has demonstrated a great commitment to addressing problems from a 360 perspective. Its appetite for risk is enormous and this is necessary for real systems change.

Tarsadia Foundation (TF)

UN Inter-Agency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy (UNTFSSE), Global

The UN Inter-Agency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy (UNTFSSE) aims to raise the visibility of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) within the UN system and beyond. The members and observers of the Task Force have committed to undertake collaborative activities to enhance the recognition of the role of SSE enterprises and organisations in sustainable development, promote knowledge of SSE and consolidate SSE networks, support the establishment of an enabling institutional and policy environment for SSE to ensure coordination of international efforts and create and strengthen partnerships.

The Catalyst 2030 Awards Ceremony celebrates the allies who share our firm belief that communities should be at the forefront of social transformation. The are the ones spearheading the change in funding to support this mission.

This paves the way for tailor-made solutions that will help create a more resilient and sustainable future. The Awards are a critical part of Catalyst 2030’s drive to build the ecosystem that supports community-led, community-based social innovation.

Catalyst 2030’s artisan community was invited to propose their unique artistic designs for the Catalyst 2030 Awards 2022. The call was open to artisans specialising in sculpture, visual arts, and/or graphic design to help us design this year’s awards trophies and certificates.

We sought proposals for each of the Catalyst 2030 Awards | 2022 categories (Corporates, Donors, Governments, Bilaterals and Multilaterals for the design of the physical awards that each of the winners and special mention finalists will receive at the event. Artisans were invited to submit design proposals in line with the SDGs.

Finalists include philanthropic, multilateral and non-profit organisations, funders, government and business leaders who embrace collaboration and co-creation as they shift power dynamics to pursue the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The vision of the movement’s global Systems Change Awards 2022, now in its second year, is to celebrate individuals and organisations that drive co-creative collaborations that confront some of the world’s most pressing problems. This includes exploring solutions to challenges such as poverty, food insecurity and inequal access to education, skills training and healthcare to accelerate attainment of the SDGs to make the world a better place.

The Systems Change 2022 Awards received 200 nominations from which the movement’s General Assembly, seven jurors and a 12-member awards committee had selected more than 60 finalists. The awards committee is co-chaired by Social Imperative, Founder and Board Member, Matthew Bishop and Breakthrough, CEO Sohini Bhattacharya.

“As a movement of dedicated social entrepreneurs and innovators, we are resolute in our pursuit to achieve the SDGs and support individuals, organisations and governments, who share and work towards our common goals. We also want to celebrate their successes. Our annual awards ceremony is just one way we highlight the achievements of our members and allies. They demonstrate how our movement is impacting the world to make it far more just place for everyone,” spokesperson for Catalyst 2030 Jeroo Billimoria said.

At the same time, they advocate for the development and implementation of strategies geared towards the achievement of ambitious SDGs by 2030.
