				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p><strong>London, UK</strong>  Catalyst 2030, the global movement of people and organisations that are powering systems change, announced the winners of the <a href="https://awards.catalyst2030.net/" title="Catalyst 2030 Awards for Systemic Change 2023">Catalyst 2030 Awards for Systemic Change 2023</a> at Spencer House in London, UK today.</p>
<p>The global awards ceremony, hosted by renowned journalist Emily Kasriel and author, entrepreneur and Chief Growth Officer at Clearco, Ruma Bose, celebrated organisations that are driving co-creative collaborations to shift the ecosystem.</p>
<p>At the Catalyst 2030 Awards ceremony, Catalyst 2030 launched Global Social Innovation Day as a critical acknowledgement of the powerful social innovation sector and an amplification of the global collective action to support social innovators and their contributions within their own spheres of influence. The annual Global Social Innovation Day will celebrate the progress the sector has made towards achieving social progress and impact and inspire people about the world-changing power of social innovation and how the ecosystem advances policy changes.</p>
<p>Aligned to supporting the systems change innovators making the world more just and sustainable, Brazil hosted the G20 2024 Summit. The Brazilian Government is poised to effectively lead and continue the momentum of Global Social Innovation Day. Acknowledging this, the Government of Brazil has already launched its national strategy document called Unlocking the Impact Economy in partnership with the Catalyst 2030 Brazil Chapter as a firm commitment towards the growth of the social innovation sector.</p>
<p>In her welcome speech, Jeroo Billimoria, Co-Founder of Catalyst 2030 applauded the finalists saying, “Congratulations to all the finalists and awardees, who are all actively involved in accelerating the impact of work of social innovators around the world. This is a celebration of your vision, commitment, success and impact in the communities that you support.”</p>
<p>Trophies designed by members of the local handmade ecosystem community in India were presented to Catalyst 2030 Awards winners as follows:</p>

<p>The movement was launched at the World Economic Forum in January 2020. Today Catalyst 2030 comprises 4,100 proven social innovators and 2600 member organisations and is active in 133 countries, directly reaching an estimated one billion people. <h2>Canadian Federal Government, Canada</h2>
<p>The Canadian government’s commitment to the SDGs began with the establishment of an SDG Unit in 2017 to ensure effective coordination across numerous federal departments and agencies and to track Canada’s SDG progress.</p>
<p>The Government of Canada embraces the universality of the 2030 Agenda and is committed to the implementation of the SDGs in Canada and internationally through a whole-of-society approach. Working with partners and stakeholders, Canada is striving to end poverty and inequality, build more prosperous and peaceful societies and protect the planet.</p>
<h2>Basque Government, Spain</h2>
<p>The Basque Government is the governing body of the Basque Autonomous Community of Spain. Among its many functions, it formulates proposals for social innovation in terms of social transition and the 2030 Agenda. With its Basque Programme of Priorities, it promotes coordination and follow-up strategies between the Departments and Institutions oriented towards a joint action of the Government in matters of social transition and the 2030 Agenda and monitors the actions of the strategy.</p>
<h2>Instituto Humanitas 360, PDR Fundo Filantrópico, Brazil</h2>
<p>PDR Fundo Filantrópico promotes public interest causes for the benefit of society through the management of endowments and allocation of resources to supported institutions. It makes early stage investments in social businesses with great potential for positive impact on society.</p>
<p>Instituto Humanitas 360 has demonstrated a great commitment to addressing problems from a 360 perspective. Its appetite for risk is enormous and this is necessary for real systems change.</p>
<h2>Tarsadia Foundation (TF)</h2>
<p>The Tarsadia Foundation (TF) is a private, multigenerational family foundation based in Newport Beach, CA. TF works to improve people’s lives through grant funding, promotion of philanthropy among peers and strengthening the capabilities of non-profit organisations.</p>
<p>They are committed to trust-based, collaborative philanthropy and letting their partners guide the work. TF operates under four impact pillars, Inclusive Mobility, Crises &amp; Threats, Human Transformation and India Upliftment.</p>
<h2>The Asfari Foundation</h2>

<p>UNWTO is the United Nations specialised agency for the promotion of responsible, sustainable and accessible tourism worldwide. It promotes tourism as a driver of economic growth, inclusive development and environmental sustainability and offers leadership and support to the sector in advancing knowledge and tourism policies worldwide.</p>
<p>It has introduced entrepreneurship and education as key factors for tourism and development and is an innovation benchmark within the wider United Nations system as recognised in the UN 2020 and 2022 Mapping of Innovation, Data and Digital Capacities.</p>
<h2>UN Inter-Agency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy (UNTFSSE), Global</h2>
<p>The UN Inter-Agency Task Force on Social and Solidarity Economy (UNTFSSE) aims to raise the visibility of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) within the UN system and beyond. The members and observers of the Task Force have committed to undertake collaborative activities to enhance the recognition of the role of SSE enterprises and organisations in sustainable development, promote knowledge of SSE and consolidate SSE networks, support the establishment of an enabling institutional and policy environment for SSE to ensure coordination of international efforts and create and strengthen partnerships.</p></div>

<p><a href="https://catalyst2030.net/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Catalyst 2030 website">Catalyst 2030</a> is a fast-growing, global movement of social entrepreneurs and social innovators from all sectors who share the common goal of creating innovative, people-centered, community-led approaches to advance the <a href="https://catalyst2030.net/sustainable-development-goals/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="The 17 Sustainable Development Goals">Sustainable Development Goals</a>. Joining forces with communities, governments, businesses and others, Catalyst 2030 members are changing systems at all levels through collective action and bold, new strategies.<br />The movement was launched at the World Economic Forum in January 2020. Today Catalyst 2030 comprises 3,780 proven social innovators and 2010 member organisations and is active in 128 countries, directly reaching an estimated one billion people. Through the establishment of Country Chapters (43 so far) and Regional Chapters (six), Catalyst 2030 is creating collaborative innovation ecosystems across the globe.</p>
